The Everest Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports and funds medical research and spearheads health initiatives around the world. Taking a comprehensive approach to its mandate “Part of the Cure,” The Everest Foundation also works to further graduate medical education (GME) efforts and sponsors residency positions with numerous medical schools and community hospitals.
The organization also spearheads measures to secure medical research funding for candidates vying to enhance their CV to help them land medical residency spots, and support health care access in poor and rural communities through its EF Scholars program. Over the years, it has supported research leading to published work, in clinical areas that include Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Orthopedics, and Psychiatry amounts other specialities.
From its headquarters in Los Angeles, California, the foundation partners with medical schools and health care facilities throughout the United States and in the territory of Puerto Rico. It also funds GME initiatives to improve medical services in many countries around the world, particularly concentrating on areas that are impoverished and disenfranchised.
