Hello Everyone,

I have an amazing older sister, who I have watched over my life overcome so many challenges. I have watched her free herself from the chains of a drug addiction, emerge from prison and rebuild relationships while constructing a new life with positive experiences. She is my idol, who has been through hell and never went back. She has taken her experiences and instead of walking around with a chip on her shoulder she has utilized her experiences as a learning and growing tool. I am her biggest fan because she has accomplished more than anyone ever thought possible. I am dedicating my blog to her because after years of all her hard work, she is being blocked from moving forward in her life professionally because she is a felon. She is a minority female, which is a already a double obstacle to overcome, but she is also a felon, which makes opportunities even harder. She is a college graduate and has ambitions to be so much more and to do so much more and because of the way our society is, she has hit a wall that will be her toughest challenge to overcome. Being able to come back from and overcome all of the issues she has faced, a lot of them self inflicted, some just dealt by life, she has risen to a personal level of success that I truly admire. She is a testament that people can and do change and it is unfortunate that our society as a whole won't accept that.
