Support my charity

Hi there, I’m Maddie Durant, the director of The Four Corners of the Field, which is a charitable fund based in New York City. I am a fan of education, Philanthropy, and elder care, and I’m extremely interested in assisting folks who have a need. You can help support this community oriented charity with a click on the button above. First, here's a little more information about what we are doing, and why.

Recently, during the Covid-19 pandemic that has been killing off thousands of people worldwide, a friend of mine posted on social media that he went to purchase groceries and as he was leaving, he noticed an elderly lady from his church being arrested. He didn't know her well but had seen her at church and recognized her face. As he left the store, he noticed that the officers were releasing her and allowing her to keep a few of the items she had allegedly attempted to steal. It broke my heart. It made me think of how difficult it must be for the elderly among us. I mean, let's face it. Times like these are challenging for all of us. But the elderly may not have anyone to aid, assist, or advocate for them, and often no one may even know they need it. I got to thinking... What can I do to help?

The Four Corners of the Fields was born.

I need your help. I am limited alone but God gave us one another and through Jesus, He commanded us to love one another. Love is my personal belief and why I do what I do. It's bigger than you and me. Please donate what you can. My goal is to help at least two elderly persons per month for the time being. If this love event grows, then you and I will grow with it and help even more people. The goal is to send two persons per month a minimum of $100 each. We'll start with that and when we can do more, we will. Although the core of my belief system is Christianity, we ARE NOT respective of persons, for neither is God. However, our focus is on those over 70 years of age.

To date, using various means, we have raised $700 in just under two months during this economic recession brought on by the issues plaguing our land. That is phenomenal and shows how much you care about one another. In April, while we were still trying to establish the fund, we purchased groceries for an woman whose sole support system, her daughter, is fighting ovarian cancer. We were happy to help out and give her and her daughter some needed relief.

I hope to grow this fund and apply for a 501c3 in the new year. Won't you help?

Thank you!
