The Gnostic Movement was a spiritual school founded by Belsebuub that was established in 1999 and closed in 2012. It ran free courses in esoteric knowledge that were among the most successful of their kind at the time. Over 90,000 people from over 100 countries participated in the courses.

The teachings of The Gnostic Movement originated from Colombian author Samael Aun Weor. Belsebuub was a student of one of Samael’s students, and as such continued the same tradition. At the foundation of the teachings were practices of self-knowledge, out-of-body experiences, and spiritual alchemy. Belsebuub refined and simplified many of the aspects originally taught by Samael Aun Weor, and authored the courses offered by The Gnostic Movement, which were also published as books.

The ultimate aim of the practices taught in The Gnostic Movement was to go beyond the normal cycle of nature, to reach enlightenment. The process was the same as had been followed by the Gnostics of esoteric Christianity and within many other spiritual traditions throughout history.

The three main courses offered by The Gnostic Movement were A Course in Astral Travel and Dreams, Searching Within, and Esoteric Wisdom, which were published as books respectively titled, A Course in Astral Travel and Dreams, The Peace of the Spirit Within, and Secret Knowledge, Hidden Wisdom. Each course followed a nine-week format, with information on different topics presented and generally a practice to try each week.

Study centers of The Gnostic Movement operated in many different countries in major cities around the world. Each study center and group ran regular activities, with events such as the courses, workshops, informal practice nights, social gatherings like movie nights, dinners and more.

The Gnostic Movement also produced and released a three part series on Gnosticism on DVD titled Secret Quest: Path of the Christian Gnostics.
