Sharon Theison is the director of events at The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce since 1979 – making her The Chamber's longest-tenured employee. Sharon is instrumental in organizing many of the flagship events and programs that are consistently popular with Chamber members. She has served as coordinator for the Leadership Springfield program since 1998, helping each new class to address critical issues affecting Springfield, and offering the participants the opportunity to gain leadership skills while positively affecting the community.

Sharon graduated from Ursuline Academy, Lincoln Land Community College, the Dale Carnegie program, and the FBI Citizens' Academy. When Sharon is not in the office, she enjoys working in her flower garden, crocheting, watching NASCAR, sewing, reading, traveling, listening to country music, and she especially loves animals.

Her son, Kevin, is a master sergeant in the United States Air Force.
