Kevin Coll is a screenwriter, marketing executive and communication specialist serving as the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communication for Red Thread Pictures. In the realm of marketing, he specializes in brand management, integrated advertising, channel marketing, social media and public relations.
A native of Memphis, Tenn., he is also a graduate of Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Mo., where he received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies with a focus in journalism and public relations and a minor in business administration. A devoted film enthusiast, Kevin founded FusedFilm.com in 2007, which allowed him an opportunity to cover Hollywood through the lens of the theatrical experience. Over a five-year stretch, he covered movies and events such as San Diego Comic-Con, Sundance Film Festival and many more – opening a window to Hollywood for film enthusiasts around the world. Kevin’s articles were even syndicated to major sites like FoxNews.com and ChicagoTribune.com. This led to his securing multiple freelance writing jobs for Blastr.com, a popular geek site owned by NBC-Universal, and ScreenRant.com, a popular independent fan website.
During the time Kevin was building FusedFilm, he also began his early career in corporate marketing for a large, single-owned Wendy’s franchise. In those four years, Kevin developed a passion for small business and entrepreneurship. His experience and time within that small business led him to move to ServiceMaster, a major home service franchisor, in April 2012. Kevin’s unique understanding of the franchisee mentality, his marketing experience, and new media background made him a perfect fit to help foster the Merry Maids brand into new areas. Some of these new areas included: social and new media, online reputation management, television production, advertising and brand development. In two years, Kevin, stimulated 125 percent growth in the Merry Maids social media community across multiple social channels. Kevin also spearheaded the effort to develop the first ever-national cause marketing program for Merry Maids, making it a national success. Lastly, he assisted in the creative development and production of the brand’s latest commercial spots.
