I'm Karen, a working mom, home decorating enthusiast and a lover of everything cute and whimsical.

I'm a compulsive Ebay shopper, stalk the Pottery Barn website daily and can usually be found at HomeGoods every weekend. I'm a big fan of the theater, antiquing, and I enjoy perusing all subjects regarding History.

I am definitely NOT a minimalist. The more "stuff" the better! My decorating style would be what I call "Traditional Eclectic Cozy." In other words... If I love it, and can afford it, I buy it. Victorian, Old World, Country, French Country, English Country, and Tuscan are all styles that float my boat. I even adore the Steampunk aesthetic.

I'm a realist. I prefer antique engravings and renaissance paintings over anything abstract or modern. Picasso? No thank you!

I don't like mid century modern (actually I hate it) because that reminds me of my Grandmother's house! Blech! I am so over it. Let's move on please.... I'm not a fan of white walls either.

If I won the lottery, I would not be buying a huge mansion on the California coast or a penthouse in Manhattan. That lifestyle just doesn't impress me. I would dig myself the coziest, cutest, most fantastical hobbit hole you can imagine and plant a vegetable garden at the front door.

I'm just struggling to make a home for my family with Champagne taste on a water budget. I do like nice things and indulge when I can, but I'm usually forced to come up with a cheap fix. I don't know where everyone gets the time to work/school, bake, craft, clean and do furniture refinishing on a daily basis. Don't you ladies sleep?

Oh, and I love Disney too!
