About Me
The Late Rev. Sister Mrs. Florence Modupeola Adetutu Adegoke (née Taylor) (FMT).
14th February, 1936 - 1st August, 2016
FMT was born on the 14th of February 1936 at Dr. Ajibade’s Hospital at Griffith St. Ebute Metta, Lagos Colony, Nigeria, West Africa. FMT’s father was Mr. Gabriel Ayodele Taylor, whose father Pa Bankole Taylor hailed from Ake, Abeokuta and Ago Oba, Nigeria, West Africa. His mother, Madam Abigail Ololade Taylor, daughter of Soretire, hailed from Ilaho, Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria, West Africa.
FMT’s mother, Mrs. Irene Kofoworola Taylor (née Kufeji) was born in 1909. Her father was Pa Kufeji, a native of Oyo and naturalized citizen of Dahomey (Port Novo)(Ajase). She had four children, Lady Pastor Arinola Ayo-Vaughan (late), Sis (Revd.) Florence Modupeola Adegoke (late), Dr. G. O. Taylor (late), and Chief Festus Olunde Taylor.
In 1953, FMT got married to Captain Mr. Samson Olajide Lambo of blessed memory, with whom she had three children: Mrs. Abimbola Ola-Odunbaku (late), Mrs. Afolake Glover, and Miss Ladunni Lambo (late).
Several years later, FMT got re-married to Prince Jacob Adebiyi Adegoke and had one son, Prince Adedoja Adegoke.
Irreplaceable, Unforgettable…Forever Loved.
FMT lived a life worthy of emulation. She was a gift to her family and a blessing to the Church of God as exemplified by her commitment to Church growth and Evangelism. FMT was a pillar of support to the Society.
