The Leaf Project
The Leaf Project (TLP) is an international, youth-led environmental and social impact organization focused on environmental awareness, sustainable living, community service, animal welfare, and youth engagement. Founded in May 2023, the organization operates through educational programs, creative advocacy, community initiatives, publications, and collaborations with student-led organizations and youth groups.
The organization originated in Bangladesh and has developed an international network.
As of 2026, The Leaf Project reports having reached more than 40,000 people.
Mission and Objectives
Its principal objectives include:
- Raising awareness about environmental issues.

- Encouraging young people to participate in environmental and community initiatives.

Areas of Work
Environmental Education
Environmental education is a central component of The Leaf Project's work. The organization develops digital educational materials, articles, guides, infographics, awareness campaigns, and school programs covering topics related to environment.
Its educational activities have reached schools and students in various places.
The organization has also conducted interactive awareness sessions on environmental and public health issues. Its dengue awareness campaign at a school in Dhaka reached approximately 2,500 students through five interactive sessions.
Community Environmental Initiatives
These activities have included tree plantation campaigns, cleanup drives, environmental awareness programs, and sustainability-related community initiatives.
The organization reports having donated more than 150 trees and planted more than 100 trees in Bangladesh through its environmental activities.
Animal Welfare
Animal welfare activities are conducted primarily through The Paw Project, the animal welfare branch of The Leaf Project.
The Paw Project focuses on supporting stray animals through feeding, medical assistance, basic care, awareness activities, and volunteer participation. The project has also supported cats requiring rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption.
Reported activities include medical treatment for more than 35 animals, regular feeding of approximately 50 animals, and food support for approximately 15 to 25 birds.
The organization also conducts animal welfare education.
The Leaf Project reports that The Paw Project has positively affected more than 350 animals and community members through its combined activities.
Community Service
The Leaf Project has conducted community service activities addressing immediate community needs.
The organization has organized food distribution initiatives in Dhaka, including two food drives.
Collaborators included GirlUp Bangladesh, and Feeding Bangladesh Project in a campaign focused on community meals and food access.
Publications and Educational Resources
Leaf Prints is the digital magazine of The Leaf Project. It publishes environmental writing, creative work, reflections, articles, poems, and other submissions.
Collectively, the publications have featured more than 70 articles, poems, and creative submissions from contributors in more than 15 countries.
Leaflets is an educational resource series focused on practical environmental knowledge.
