Hi, I’m Jalisa—a Behavior Intervention Specialist with a background in Early Intervention and Applied Behavior Analysis. I’ve spent years working with children on the autism spectrum across clinic, classroom, and home settings, supporting both students and the adults who care for them. My experience ranges from direct one-on-one intervention to collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to create meaningful, functional behavior supports that actually fit into real life.

I started The Learning Garden because I saw a gap—so many parents, educators, and community spaces want to support children with developmental needs but don’t always have access to clear, practical, and culturally responsive guidance. The Learning Garden is built on the belief that every child can grow when given the right environment, and my goal is to help others plant those seeds with confidence by providing tools, education, and support that feel doable—not overwhelming.

A little about me—I’m a faith-driven mom of two young boys, balancing full-time work, school, and family life while doing my best to show up consistently for both my kids and my purpose. I’m born and raised in Fort Worth and have been married for 8 years. I hold three degrees, with my highest being a Master’s in Special Education with a focus in ABA.

I understand the real-life challenges families face day to day—busy schedules, behavior struggles, and just trying to keep everything afloat. My experiences as a mom are a big part of why I’m so passionate about helping other families find practical, realistic ways to support their children without feeling overwhelmed.
