#thelostgirls

Hello, I am a 24 year old adult (ish) girl that is about to embark on, what I hope to be, an amazing adventure backpacking across the world. I want to use this blog as a brutally honest and witty insight to our lives as we travel through the following countries- India, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, The Philippines, Malaysia, Borneo and Australia. So this is me, I work in an office in Worthing on the South Coast of England for an energy company, big snore. My life wasn't meant to end up there, I was supposed to be a football coach, or doing something in the great outdoors, never ever work in an office. After living in New Jersey, America for 4 months as a soccer coach, i caught the travel bug. The thing is, I'm not very responsible and I'v always been lucky enough to have people around me that do things for me. Its time to step out of my comfort zone and out of routine 9-5 life that I'm just awful at. Travelling with me are my 3 weird, ah no, peculiar friends. I say friends, one of them- Leigh Holes, is actually my fiancee, we have been together now for 4 lovely years. She's very small and has a weird Hampshire accent that she doesn't realise she has. I like her. She's the mum of the group, any problems, you go to Leigh.. without her, we probably wouldn't last a day in another county let alone another continent. She's worked hard for everything she wants her whole life, and if anyone deserves this, its Leigh (or Fleigh as we more often than not call her). Then we have Stacey Lineham, oh Stace, my partner in crime from school since we were 13 years old! Stacey and myself are rather alike, Leigh makes our decisions and plans, we show up and get drunk. I can't figure out if Stacey is just up for anything or so oblivious that just says yes to anything thrown her way. Onto our 4th and final mate- Shadi Nazempour. Potentially the most crazy human being iv ever met. She's backpacked before (somehow survived) and was a travel agent until we showed up. Iv known Shadi since i was 17, she was the impulsive, nuts one that always was looking for fun- hence why when we turned up in her shop in July 2015, as 3 girls looking for a new life, she turned round and said "sod it, I'm coming, that okay"? and without even a second thought (even though Stacey had only met her twice) we obviously said yes! So that is how our 3 lost girls became 4. Hopefully, you can learn with us, grow with us, cry and laugh with us and watch how we turn from being lost, to found
