My introduction to peak health and wellness began during my early junior high school years. Recognizing my competitive limitations on the basketball court, I embarked on a quest to build my strength and endurance through weight training and nutrition. These interests were furthered during my college years as a result of academic preparation and work experience in nutrition, anatomy and physiology, biochemistry and exercise physiology. Since then I have personally encountered the amazing benefits of preventative health strategies through profound encounters with nutritional therapy, acupuncture, herbal medicine and yoga.
My life has also been heavily influenced through leadership positions with three Midwest hospitals as well as a California based community health center. I have written extensively on various health care topics and have been a featured speaker over the years with numerous industry medical organizations and associations. I have a Master of Public Administration in Health Services Administration from The University of San Francisco and have served on the Institutional Review Board for the University of California Davis.
Through the merger of my myriad experiences in health care, I am now driven to pursue a long held philosophy of mine: That ones physical body can naturally heal itself when presented with the right conditions. My passion, therefore, is in assisting individuals and businesses in navigating through the often complex medical world to identify cost effective, quality options for ensuring peak health. The ultimate goal is to gently guide these stakeholders towards their own conclusions on which choices best support their lifelong wellness aims.
When not engaged in this work, I invest my time and resources towards the cause of individual rights, freedom and liberty in the U.S. I also enjoy meaningful moments with my teenage daughter, watching spectator sports, and engaging in the voracious consumption of good books.
