Jason Smith, M.Ed

I am a gifted education teacher at West Chatham Elementary School. I use many forms of technology in my classroom, including blogs, wikis, podcasts, and photo stories. Through this technology I have helped students produce a podcast currently on iTunes and compete in competitions such as the International Media Festival, Carowinds Coaster Mania, and presented at the 2010 Capital Tech in Atlanta. I currently hold a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and working to receive my Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning.

I am married to a beautiful woman who is also a teacher. We have known each other since high school. We have two dogs and two cats who keep us very busy. One of our dogs believes he is a goat because he thinks he can eat anything from drywall to cell phones to power cords. We also have the clumsiest cat in the world. I believe I can count on one hand the number of times he has been able to make jump onto our kitchen counter without knocking something over or falling off.
