The Oaks School

The Oaks School is a progressive, independent K-6 school located in the heart of Hollywood. At The Oaks School, our idea of progressive education is based on three important beliefs. First, we believe that children learn best when their ideas are taken seriously and when they are encouraged to be themselves. We also see that the purpose of education is to provide children with the tools and skills to work for a more just and equitable society. Finally, we believe that the best education is organized around questions, issues, and problems that require critical thinking, connect the various subjects and foster collaboration and connection.
