Theo Arranz

Theo Arranz is a French-American entrepreneur, yacht charter operator, and startup founder focused on the intersection of hospitality, maritime experiences, and water mobility innovation.

Born on July 6, 1997, in Greenwich to French parents, Theo grew up between the United States, Spain, and France. His father, originally from the south of France, and his mother, from Roubaix, met in New York City during the 1980s while his father operated an art gallery in Manhattan. Entrepreneurship, hospitality, and creativity were present from an early age.

Around 2003, Theo’s family relocated to Valencia, where his father entered the restaurant business and opened a traditional paella restaurant. Growing up on the Mediterranean coast deeply shaped Theo’s connection to the ocean, travel, and tourism. During his teenage years, he later moved to Lyon, where he pursued competitive soccer with the dream of becoming a professional player.

After moving to Paris, Theo studied culinary arts and hospitality while apprenticing in his father’s restaurant. Once completing his studies, he spent several years traveling across France, working in hotels and restaurants in cities such as Biarritz, Montpellier, Cassis, and Marseille.

Eventually leaving the restaurant industry behind, Theo began teaching sailing to children in southern France, further deepening his connection to the maritime world. In 2018, he relocated to Miami to pursue opportunities in the yachting industry. Starting with day jobs on superyachts, he built his network through persistence and eventually secured a permanent position aboard a private superyacht.

After gaining experience in luxury yachting and hospitality operations, Theo transitioned into entrepreneurship and launched his own yacht charter business. Through years of networking, sales, and operational experience, he built a yacht charter company focused on luxury experiences in Miami and the Bahamas. The company expanded into managing and operating yacht experiences ranging from day charters to large-scale luxury events.

Today, Theo is also the founder of Nava, a startup focused on on-demand boat rides and water transportation. Launching initially in Miami, Nava aims to modernize waterfront transportation and make marine mobility more accessible, efficient, and integrated into urban life.

Having lived across multiple countries and industries, Theo’s journey combines hospitality, travel, maritime operations, branding, and entrepreneurship. His work continues to center around one recurring idea: building freedom, movement, and experiences through the ocean and innovative business ventures.
