The Popcorn Easel Art Show is an initiative presented by Artists Take, a nonprofit organization founded by Dismoc Le Ma. Originally launched in St. Louis, the Popcorn Easel Art Show was created to uplift and showcase the work of local artists, especially those in underserved communities. Through this traveling exhibition, Artists Take aims to create meaningful opportunities for emerging and overlooked creatives by providing them with a platform to exhibit their work, connect with audiences, and engage with the broader art world.
At its core, the program is rooted in the belief that art should be accessible to everyone—regardless of geography, resources, or exposure. By bringing the art show directly into communities that often lack artistic infrastructure or visibility, The Popcorn Easel Art Show helps bridge the gap between local talent and larger cultural conversations. Each stop on the tour features locally selected artists and fosters community engagement through exhibitions, workshops, and dialogue.
The Popcorn Easel Art Show reflects Artists Take’s mission to democratize the arts and empower individuals through creative expression. With plans to expand to more cities, the project continues to build momentum, drawing attention to powerful work being created outside traditional art hubs.
