She was born in Quezon City, Philippines, and is daughter and only child of Mr. Freddie Ramirez Joves and Mrs. Lilivic Oracion Joves. She grew up in Quezon City and went to Grace Bethel School before she was transferring to New Era University when she was a High School student. She graduated highschool at the age of 17.

In her freetime, she likes to surf the net, watch movies/t.v. shows, hang out with her mom or her friends and cook or bake some pastries. She wants to take part of some numerous activities like swimming, playing soccer and badminton. She also has a passion in reading books and writing poems and/stories. A self confessed kikay, prangka & maldita (in her own way). Kimberly loved to try to keep up with her Auntie Coneand her mom, taking on some her so-called "activities" such as photography, travelling and shopping.

She adores Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Leighton Meester Rachel McAdams, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. And as a result, her all-time favorite movie is Titanic (1997).
