Although it's not what I do for a living, I went to college for Political Science with highly unrealistic sights on living a glamorous powerful life as a politician, or working for a glamorous powerful politician. On graduation day, I had already realized I wanted nothing to do with that world professionally, but I was still interested, personally, in the status of our country, international affairs, and many many facets within. As someone who has been a devout liberal in my early years and then a moderate conservative for a few years, I now find myself just disgusted. Disgusted in the parties, the path our country is on, the apathy of my fellow citizens, and above all, the pretenses my fellow citizens embody with their "political beliefs." It's not their fault - politics, today, is a chance for everyone to finally have a chance to sit at the mean girl's table in high school.. Involving themselves in fights they know nothing about, choosing sides based on gossip instead of concrete facts, making dramatic, sweeping declarations that are forgotten as soon as the words leave your lips, and looking down on others, even bullying and yelling at anyone that has a different style. Trust me, having sat at that table for four years in middle school, four years in high school and part of my college career, you are not anywhere as cool as you think you are, actually quite the opposite, you're actually coming off as a huge douche bag. But it's not their fault. It really isn't. They need what I needed. Down to earth, sensical, unbiased advice, real stories from those that are wiser and older than you, and education on the world around you, how to find yourself, and then a place in that big big world. That's what I'm here to do.
I'm here to be your public rat. I'm here to cut the bull shit between the rePUBLICans and the democRATs, spread some unbiased knowledge that the media outlets you trust would be defunded and subsequently out of business for reporting on, and pose some real questions that let you answer for yourself thus deciding what you believe for once. You can hear about my beliefs - a set of beliefs that don't add up to either party's platform, but add up to only my opinion, which some poeple tragically forget is more important than equating a place in a political party. I like to believe a lone voice of one whispering about concerns, new ideals, hope, passion, and asking questions will drown out a crowd of people yelling about what
