Rakibul Hasan is Feature sub-Editor of The Bangladesh Today (TBT). He completes his post-graduation from the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Dhaka. Earlier he started his profession as Research Analyst (RA) at Bangladesh Institute of Peace andSecurity Studies (BIPSS). Besides, he recently received prestigious three-year longWomen Deliver fellowship as one of 200 global young leaders in Denmark. Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II announced him Queen's Young Leader for 2016.
At present, he contributes freelance Op-Eds and columns to more than 20 regional newspapers, especially India, Pakistan and Nepal on regular basis. Besides, he appears in scores of International Conferences and publishes research papers in many International Journals. He generally writes on counterterrorism, security issues, Gender violence. He also concerns public policy analyses, peacebuilding, conflict transformation, role of citizen journalism, and youth activism etc. He blogs critical terrorists and gender issues in Bangladesh in peacispossible.blogspot.com.
He completes a professional certificate program of US State Department titled ‘Conflict Transformation Across Cultures(CONTACT), from December 04-15, 2014 at Kathmandu, Nepal. US Embassies in all SAARC countries sponsor the CONTACT SAARC Peacebuilding program every year, while SIT Graduate Institute, Vermont, USA trains the 46 rising professionals of South Asia in Nepal. He is co-founder of ‘Active Citizens STARZ’—a project of British Council Bangladesh.
