Theresa Collins

Theresa Collins grew up in eastern South Dakota, where her father and grandfathers were farmers. As a National Merit Scholar, she attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, our nation's smallest town with a state university. After student teaching in Omaha, Nebraska, and completing her Latin degree, she received the Most Outstanding Entering Student scholarship at USD School of Law, and later passed the South Dakota bar exam. While a third year law student, she wrote and published her own newsletter for fellow students.

Theresa Collins then moved to inner-city San Antonio, to teach middle school in one of its poorest neighborhoods. After 11 years in the classroom, she gained valuable business experience in income tax preparation, online book sales, and retail.

Now in Lubbock, Theresa Collins studies accounting and works for Double T (Neebo) Bookstore, across the street from Texas Tech University.
