Try my food

Hello there!

First, I would like to thank you for showing interest in my blog! It means a lot to me that you are taking out time in your ever so hectic day to read about myself.

I am a junior at Springfield College studying Rehabilitation & Disability Studies and Communication Science Disorders. I grew an interest in wholesome eating about a year ago, which is when I decided to share my love of healthy cooking with all you beauties!

Back in the day, I never cared about the food choices I made or what they did to my body. Now, I am more aware of my food choices and try to stick to a 'plant-based' diet. What does this fancy term mean?? Well, it consists of eating a variety of veggies, fruits, whole grains, nuts & legumes, in addition to few or NO animal products. Where do I get protein with no animal products? The answer is simple; tofu, tempeh, beans, peanut butter, nuts, almond milk, protein powders/bars, chia seeds, and even green leafy veggies! A common misconception that people ask is.... How is cutting animal products out of your diet healthy?

For one, it is saving animals across the world. Second, for health reasons (increased energy, being plant-based means a diet that is low in saturated fat, and high in fibre). Third, for the environment. Switching to a plant-based 'diet' saves more carbon emissions! (around 50% more) There are so many reasons as to why you should care about the foods you put into your body. These are just a few of them.

I hope my blog serves you purpose! If you have anything at all to ask, DO NOT hesitate to contact me! My email is [email protected].

I hope you enjoy my recipes!! Thank you for reading! ♥
