The Rev. Jay Lawlor
Priest, Author, and Economist in the United States
I am a Priest, Author, and Economist currently living in the United States. I had a sense of calling to ordained ministry since childhood, but it wasn't until my 20s I began the process of formal discernment. I was ordained to the priesthood on May 31, 2003 at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Boston, MA in the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.
I hold a Masters of Divinity (MDiv.) degree from Episcopal Divinity School, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Prior to ordination I worked as a research economist at the Center for International Development at Harvard University. Prior to that I was an Associate Economist at DRI/Standard & Poor's.
Economic and social justice are active parts of my ministry as a priest in the Episcopal Church.
