Currently I am working as a director in both the theatre and film industry. I have directed everything from corporate videos to a short film INSOMNIAC which was nominated for 3 AMPIA (Alberta Motion Picture Industry Awards) and won one for Best Overall Musical Score.
I am a graduate of Niagara College and the Vancouver Playhouse Acting School and a proud member of CAEA (Canadian Actors Equity Association) since 1993. Most recently I was the Founding Artistic Director and Co-Founder with LuAnne Morrow, for The Shakespeare Company in Calgary, Alberta where I acted and directed in over 40 productions. I am an acting coach where I share my passion with students young and old from audition technique, to learning how to speak verse, to revealing the secrets of Shakespeare’s First Folio using my friend and mentor Neil Freeman’s scripts. As an actor I have played the title roles in Henry V, Macbeth, Hamlet, also I played Mercutio (Romeo & Juliet), Petruchio (Taming of the Shrew), Brutus (Julius Caesar), Claudio (Measure For Measure), Nick Bottom (A Midsummer Night’s Dream). I was very proud to be Canadian Playwright John Murrell's understudy in King Lear for Shakespeare In The Park. I also played Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing directed by Nikki Loach for Theatre Junction. As a director I have directed Waiting For The Parade for Broadminds Theatre, Richard the Third , Comedy of Errors, Cyrano deBergerac my award winning production of Measure For Measure for The Shakespeare Company.
