Tom Irving

I am a software engineer at Bloomberg LP currently living in London, UK.

Prior to this I was part of a four person team that built the Global Radio iOS app from the ground up.

I got started when I was a kid building pranks in REALbasic before releasing Friendz, a desktop Xbox LIVE client for macOS.

When the App Store in 2008 I ported Friendz to Objective-C and sold the iOS version which was eventually downloaded by over 250,000 users.

Along the way I open sourced a number of components used in Friendz (https://github.com/thermogl)

Despite earning a degree in Aerospace Engineering, I decided to continue a career in software and the rest is history.
