Described by the Guardian as a 'fine singer' and fROOTs Magazine as an 'eye and ear opener', Katie Rose is an innovative musical entrepreneur.
Committed to providing uplifting experiences of sound, Katie works with groups and individuals helping them to sing and express themselves freely. With 14 years experience in holistic therapeutic practice including work with children and adults with SEN, Katie offers one to one sessions in Vocal Coaching, Sound Therapy and Singing/ Songwriting.
A caring and creative facilitator, Katie is passionate about making music accessible and has facilitated sessions with Croydon Intercultural Singing Project (CRISP) at Cotelands PRU and Forest Schools. Community Choir Direction includes Raise the Roof Choir at the Horniman Museum, Croydon & South Norwood Community Choirs and Forest Hill Singing Group. She has organised large scale choral fundraising events for Sing for Water. She leads training sessions for teachers, presenters and therapists.
Katie has released three albums of music which interweave original material with music from global traditions. Composition includes 'Love and Compassion' for Road to Peace, a film about the Dalai Lama. She has performed with artists including Barefoot Doctor, Basement Jaxx, Tim Wheater and Stewart Pearce at venues such as Union Chapel.
