Hi readers! I'm Candace and I'm a millennial (I have a blog don't I?) who lives in eastern Washington state and raises chickens, keeps a sometimes productive garden, and loves to knit, crochet, craft, and can foods. I also love baking, hiking, camping, and drinking great craft beer. I have a beautiful family consisting of my husband and soulmate Jeremy, one cat, two dogs, and a dozen or so chickens who, as any hobby farmer would know, are pretty much the most entertaining things on the planet, until the rooster gets too friendly and attacks your legs every time you enter his coop. I'm here to share my experience with all of these things and learn from my readers, who are hopefully as interested in self-sufficiency in their own unique ways, too!
