My name is Solomon Carter. I write action thrillers. I write about the locations and the types of people I know best. I grew up around crime and have worked closely people leading criminal lifestyles for the last six years.

I have been a writer since childhood. Much later I studied literature and creative writing as a postgraduate – but I always wanted to write accessible, entertaining and thrilling fiction. I really want to express the gritty, the amazing, and the shocking truth of people’s lives, all wrapped up in the addictive deliciousness of fiction.

I like to write tough, uncompromising, thrilling entertainment. I hope you enjoy it.

I lived in Essex since birth, moving to London to study English Literature and indulge in all the sights and sounds of the big city. The adventure lasted four years before I returned to Southend to start a second hand book business as well as slave away at cracking the novel.
After serving hard time as a member of staff for the Department of Work and Pensions, I decided there had to be something more to life, and went back to study more literature in London. After receiving a postgrad in English, I went back to Southend to write books and change the world. To this day I live in Southend with writer wife and two children. The town described in my novels is very much like the town depicted in the Long Time Dying series.
I have always liked his writing high octane, super charged, gritty, hot, sassy, wound up, and packing a punch.
