WHO ARE WE?

Forming at JMC Academy in South Brisbane, The Tempest has spent the past several months writing and recording their original music. Founding members, Ila La Bonya and Jessie Jabore, have worked together for the past 18 months through college projects.

Ethan Drew had been co-producing an original The Tempest track during a collaboration. They'd been writing some pretty raw acoustic material but wanted to go bigger and louder. Once realising an unwavering desire to electrify their sound, Ethan and Brad Bartle (also JMC student) were asked to join Tempest in an attempt to generate endless reverberations of sweet, sweet dissonance.

With noise rock influences, catchy vocals and charismatic rhythms, muses for the alt. rock group include Brand New, Andy Hull, Sonic Youth and Elliot Smith.
