Purpose: To help Gambian authors to gain international acclaim.

The Voice of The Pen (VOP) is an event planner that organizes a variety of events including writers workshops, book launches, trainings on creative writing, blogging, intellectual property and collective management of copyright and related rights, information literacy, public lectures, motivational talks, readings, poetry album launches, hotel bookings, artist residencies in and outside The Gambia, and educational conferences, and more. We ensure all event details meet their client's specifications.

VOP is a registered business company that has been legally registered with the Attorney General's Chambers, Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and run by action-oriented, highly talented professional young Gambians who are youths and experts themselves. With the ever-competitive event market, it is important to stand out and while this may come at a price, it makes the effort worthwhile.

VOP aims to promote literacy, literature and literary development, encourage self-reliance, reduce poverty, create employment for Gambian youths, invest in arts and culture; and empower young women.

The Voice of The Pen is the right event advertising program that attracts the demographic and attendees you want to your event both in and outside The Gambia, adds marketing reach for your sponsors and elevates the event brand for the client.

VOP has organized more than 20 events between March to November 2019.
