I began crocheting as a young girl when my mom taught me my first basic crochet stitches. As an adult, I worked full time in healthcare administration and sidelined as a pastel artist. Unfortunately, I began losing my vision a few years ago due to a genetic illness, which brought an end to both careers.

However, In spite of being legally blind in one eye and having low vision in the other, I find that crochet and other crafts, using magnification and bright light, are still possible and extremely gratifying. Now I spend my days crocheting, writing and looking on the bright side!
