Thiago de Freitas Oliveira Araujo

Senior Electrical Engineering Undergraduate Student at Universidade Federal de Campina Grande. Participated on Robocup competitions at the Virtual Robots League and also was a Google Summer of Code Student 2009 at the NuiGroup mentoring organization. My research agenda currently focuses on Slam for Search and Rescue Robots and algorithms for Hand Tracking on Multi-Touch Interactive Displays. Currently also working as an Unix Specialist at Apel – Aplicações Eletrônicas Ltda with Embedded Linux applications for airports and metro stations, including time synchronization, displays,GPS, NTP, sound, emergency and evacuation systems, SIP, Signage, etc. Research Interests: SLAM, Probabilistic Robotics, Mobile Robots, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Human-Computer Interaction, Human-Robot Interaction, Natural User Interfaces, Embedded Systems, Pervasive Computing.
