Thibaut De Roux

Thibaut de Roux was born in 1965 in France and is a Senior Banking Executive with 25 years of experience working in the management of global Capital Markets. Thibaut de Roux has established himself as a highly experienced manager, who is able to manage large work teams on a global scale. With a proven track record of growing and developing businesses, Thibaut de Roux was most recently Head of Global Markets at HSBC Bank plc, a position he undertook in 2014.
Based in London, the position of Head of Global Markets saw Thibaut de Roux take responsibility for the design and development of the company’s Global Markets strategy. The strategy encompasses HSBC’s global business’ structure, its geographic presence and its position in the global financial industry, and Thibaut de Roux oversaw its implementation on a global scale.
Prior to his most recent position with HSBC, Thibaut de Roux held several senior positions with the company including Deputy Head of Global Markets; Head of Global Market, EMEA; Global Head of Structured Derivatives; Head of Europe HSBC – Rates Derivatives and Structured Products; and Global Head of Structured Rates and Equity.
Thibaut de Roux achieved a degree in Economics in 1988 from Paris Dauphine University, where he remained to gain a Master of Finance and Management qualification from the same institution just a year later in 1989. Outside his professional interests, Thibaut de Roux is passionate about skiing, climbing and cycling, and he is also a wine enthusiast with a growing personal wine collection that consists of more than 2,000 bottles.
