Sofia Thicke

Hi, I’m Sofia! I’m a teacher living in Vancouver, where I currently teach Grades 1 and 4 at an IB school. I’m really passionate about education and creating engaging, supportive learning environments for my students. Outside of the classroom, I love music, volunteering, and shopping, and I’m always looking for ways to stay creative and connected to my community. I also really enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes, as well as exploring different coffee spots whenever I can.

I have a love for travel and have been lucky enough to teach internationally for a period of time in Zambia, which was an incredibly meaningful experience both personally and professionally. It deepened my appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives, and continues to shape the way I approach teaching today. I also got married last summer and my husband is a teacher as well, so education is definitely a big part of our lives together!
