Brian Stout
Software Product Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana
I am a father of 5, a husband to a better woman than I deserve, and a son and brother to a family that I do not appreciate enough for helping shape who I am today.
I believe that learning does not stop when you leave the classroom or the workplace.
My work in software development does not define me although my wife and family would disagree a little because of my passion for it.
I do enjoy trying to make the world better than today through tools and applications. I accomplish this as an everyday action figure who delivers more results by day than expected and by capturing ideas by night that may one day change the world if I am so blessed.
I love the expression of my Christian faith that says, "I am not the man I used to be, but still not the man I need to be." That constant striving to be a better man is what will shape who I ultimately become.
I have sacrificed real strong friendships for my career and family because I don't invest in them as I should--but it certainly needs to be a two-way street. The fabrics of friendship can weaken over time and cannot be pulled together as an audience to another person's life in the digital realm--sorry that's our reality without real interaction.
I pray that someday God will change me by showing me how to trust others and bring great business partners into my life through my career to learn from, grow with, and shape a better world for those who follow us.
My sincere hope is that I will bring great wealth and value to those I work with while I travel down the career path as well.
If this is all that God has planned for me and my life, I will praise Him and hope that others see Christ's love through me along the way.
I leave you with this: find purpose, fill needs, follow love, and always thinkstout.
