Jamie Turner

Hi, I'm Jamie! I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. Yes, I love some peaches and sweet tea, as well as my football team, the Atlanta Falcons. A girl can get a little competitive when she is the second year champ of her fantasy football league, right?

I have always held a job, mostly in the restaurant service industry. I've been financially independent, living on my own, since I earned a scholarship to college. At Georgia State University I studied economics. I've worked in research and in accounting, and I am still trying to find that - Je ne sais quois? My independence is one thing that sets me apart from some other individuals - I grew up knowing I had nothing to fall back on but myself, giving me a special kind of tenacity and fortitude. I hope to bring that to the campus of the University where I hope to soon begin learning my MBA.

I have traveled all over the United States and overseas, and Austin is a breath of fresh air. I can't wait to join my class and get involved with the school and the city, to reach my goals after I obtain an MBA to switch careers from accounting to finance!
