THOM is perhaps best known as the writer of such Irish classics as Cavan Girl, Carolina Rua, The Scholar (The Train to Sligo), Still Believing, Saw You Running and as as founder-member of Folk groups Pumpkinhead and Midnight Well. His songs have been covered by The New Seekers, Imeda May and the Chieftains, Mary Black, Maura O'Connell, The Newgrass Revival, Danny Doyle, Paddy Reilly, Mary Coughlan, Osna, Bluestone, and oodles of others all over the world.
