My real work started after I retired. Started woodworking using wood to create whats in your mind, learning different tools. Used the wood skills to build a 1902 Wright brothers glider 1/3 scale and used the same materials and construction techniques as the Wrights. 1200 hours later I had a operational 1902 glider. Now housed at the California Aerospace Museum in Sacramento. Next project, a 1905 John Montgomery, tandem winged glider called Santa Clara, balloon launched to 4000 feet, flown to saftey many times. Flown at the 1905 California State Fair, I plan to recreate the flights of John Montgoery. Forgotten by history, he flew 19 years before the Wrights. I start flight testing in 2-3 months. I have over 2500 hours in the project.
