Thomas DeAngelo

I am a student currently living in Amherst, Massachusetts. My interests range from pyschology to counseling. I am also interested in innovation.

I value building interpersonal connections and support systems, I believe no one person can go through life without receiving some form of help from others. Due to my person first philosophy I will always remain motivated to succeed for myself and those who rely on my services. I am focused empowering individuals to tackle obstacles in their path, while remaining a support system where individuals can come talk, and ask questions if needed. I wish to be a high school counselor because high school is an important yet confusing time for many adolescents. I want to help students achieve their full potential while in high school but help prepare them to go out into the world post graduation. I will do this by having students think about what it is they want to accomplish in school and after graduation and encourage them and enable them to pursue what it is what they want while keeping them grounded in reality to help them set realistic goals.
