Thomas Jordan
Artist • Acrylics, Pastels, Oils • Lover of Plein Air and Palette Knife
Tom works and lives in Marietta, Georgia, but, he was born and raised in Northern California and that's where his artistic roots began. Tom studied at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Tom's mother and father were "weekend artists" and painting was their life-long hobby.
When Tom's father was a teenager he lived with his older cousin Ralph Stackpole (famous San Francisco sculptor) and use to tell very odd stories when Diego Rviera and Frida Kahalo came to stay with them.
Tom's paintings have no agenda, they do not have any deeper hidden meanings. He just likes to paints what he sees and what inspires him, with a little bit of added drama and what he likes to call "velocity" of raw stroke and color.
