hi there - thanks for watching my profile!
let me introduce myself: my name is tom rosenberg and i live in switzerland where i was born. i'm 40+ years old and i've been into electronic sounds and music for about 30 years now. it all started with a small-sized casio keyboard (offering the possibility to do 8-bit audio sampling like up to 3 seconds) followed by a korg MS-10, korg Poly-61 and a diversity of akai devices (e.g. the S-950). in the mid-1990s i bought myself a roland MC-303, took part in their groovemaster-contest and actually became roland european groovemaster in that particular year.roland then hooked me up with some nice gear (MC 505, SP 808, JP 8080, VS 880EX) which i also used a lot. later on i started using my hardware-gadgets in combination with propellerhead's reason software. about 2 years ago i bought my first korg monotron and soon after that a modified second one from a japanese modder www.beatnic.jp (Motohiko Takeda). in 2012 i became a 2nd place winner in korg's "monomania sound contest (U.K.)" in the category "monotron music", which brought me in a korg kaosspad and a korg kaossilator. recently i've been exploring some classy korg-apps on both my i-phone and i-pad - my favourite app nowadays is the i-Polysix. no wonder i spend a good portion of my spare time twiddling with virtual knobs, buttons, ribbon-conrollers and sliders on my touch-screens enjoying the retro-feeling that comes with it. feel free to find some of my app-based grooves on soundcloud - hope you enjoy it!
