Thomas Waters
Born and reared in the coastal colonial Georgia town of Brunswick, named after King George III's wife's family home. She was German. John and Charles Wesley preached to the native americans, underneath the huge old oak trees at the mission Anglican church, Christ's Church, Frederica, on nearby St. Simons Island, 1734. Georgia's founder, Gen, James Ogelthorpe sent for John in England because the new inhabitants of the City of Savannah neede "spiritual guidance."
