Thomas Wilson

Thomas Wilson recently joined an industry-leading global financial services firm that provides investment and business banking, wealth management, and asset management services to clients. Prior to joining the firm, Thomas Wilson served as a financial advisor at another leading investment banking firm from 2004 to 2010. In addition, he currently acts as Managing Director for a nonprofit company called Tuxedo Land Trust, which is dedicated to environmental issues and strives to avoid deforestation. The company promotes renewable energy, low-carbon emissions, and clean water in Tuxedo, New York. In his role as Managing Director at Tuxedo Land Trust, Thomas Wilson has acted as a key figure in trying to preserve land slated by the Town Board to undergo transformation into commercial, retail, and residential space. Thomas Wilson maintains that the Town Board does not comply with the procedures of the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), which looks at the impact of projects on the environment, taking into account issues that the public presents for consideration. To that end, Thomas Wilson and the Tuxedo Land Trust members have served the town with an Article 78, which points out its violations of SEQRA. For the next two years, Thomas Wilson plans to resolve legal issues and implement budget solutions that do not negatively affect municipal services or increase property taxes. In addition, Thomas Wilson aims to improve local roads and infrastructure, decrease the occurrence of power outages, discount the price of heating oil for the community, and improve the storm response service provided by Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc.
