Thomas H. Russell

Professional Track Record

Tom Russell began his career in Financial Services in 2008 as an Investment Associate with SunTrust Investment Services. There he was exposed to advanced techniques in portfolio development, Monte Carlo Simulation, and investment strategy.

Having an interest in futures trading, Tom joined the The Caffey & Campanella Investment Group where he was exposed to Managed Futures as a tool for diversifying away from the traditional "stocks and bonds" portfolio.

In 2010, Tom was asked to help found Alterna Advisors, an introducing broker, specializing in Managed Futures, currency conversion and trading.

Currently, Tom works on the New Business Development Team for YieldQuest Securities, a boutique fixed income service in Atlanta. There he develops holistic advisor client relationships that culminate in rock-solid fixed income portfolio management. Tom also serves on the YieldQuest trading desk, specializing in odd-lot municipal bonds.

Tom holds FINRA Series 3, 7, and 66 licenses

Personal History

Tom is a native of Roswell, Ga. He attended Roswell High School, graduating in 2004. He then attended the University of Tennessee and Kennesaw State University graduating in 2009.

Personal Interests

In his spare time, Tom enjoys playing lock for the Atlanta Old White Rugby Football Club, the occasional game of racquetball, and keeping up with University of Tennessee Athletics.
