Thomas Langman

Hello my name is Thomas Langman,

I am a Yr 8 student at Wainui school. I am going to apply for sports student councillor.

I am a creative person and I love to play sport for teams and individual sport as well.I can organise events for the school such as wheels day and I also have a lot of new activities that the whole school can participate in. One of my ideas is to have one day in every term where each class would have a challenge or game that they would participate in, for example, Yr 5 and 6 could have a treasure hunt in which they are in teams. Yr's 1 and 2 however could play a more simpler game, such as team tag.

For days like Wai Day or Wheels Day I would like include more activities such as, for Wheels Day, The more confident seniors could have a time trial on bikes through the bush, (depending on weather conditions) the little kids could have a challenge of swerving around the corners of the baton track and for the people with skate boards and scooters, the councillors and Yr 8 students could prepare little ramps.

A councillor goal that I have is to introduce new ideas in to Wainui school and to create a better place for Wainui students. I can achieve this goal because I have lived around the world therefor I have experienced more diverse things that can be introduced to Wainui.
