Thomas LaTorre

A student at Syracuse University in New York, Thomas LaTorre is studying communications and business and expects to graduate in 2023. In addition to his academic endeavors, he has developed knowledges of business and marketing through various summer jobs and internships. As a result, he has learned about areas such as inventory control and the development of marketing pitches. In regards to his future prospects, his professional interests lie in sports and sports management.
A graduate of Daniel Hand High School in Madison, Connecticut, Mr. LaTorre participated in school and community athletic programs throughout his high school career. He belonged to the freshman basketball and varsity tennis teams. Moreover, he played on the soccer team all four years and led the Varsity to team to an unprecedented three straight State Championships. In the spring season of his junior year his tore his ACL injury and required surgery. After returning in his senior year ahead of his prognosis, he earned a 2019 Comeback Player of the Year award from the Southern Connecticut Conference. Outside of high school, he spent time teaching tennis and managing the T-ball program for kindergarteners and first-graders through a local private coed institution’s after-school program.
Mr. LaTorre has received a number of accolades for his leadership and academic achievements, which includes recognition on the dean’s list at Syracuse University. He also received an award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Business in 2018. During his last year at Daniel Hand High, he served as captain of the varsity soccer team and was selected to attend the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference’s Leadership Conference in 2018.
