A graduate of the Health Services Management Executive Certificate Program at Northwestern University, Thomas Spetter has been employed by Bristol-Myers Squibb Company since 2006. Mr. Spetter serves as Manager of Public Health in its Virology Division. Responsible for selling the Bristol Myers Squibb line of virology pharmaceutical products to federal prisons, state prisons and county jails in California and Arizona, he has received multiple awards. In 2012, Thomas Spetter won the Best Performer/Pinnacle Award as the company's top Manager of Public Health.

To prepare for his career, Mr. Spetter obtained a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Washington. After completing his degree, he performed as a sales representative in the Copier Division of Pitney Bowes, Inc., and as a sales representative in the Business Services Division of Xerox Corporation. Subsequently, Thomas Spetter entered medical sales through Abbott Laboratories. His achievements with the company earned him two All Star Awards and an Achievers Award. Additionally, he acquired a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado School of Business during this period. After leaving Abbott, Thomas Spetter joined Bristol-Myers Squibb as Senior Territory Business Manager for neuroscience residential care accounts before his promotion into the Virology division of Bristol Myers Squibb.
