Thomas-Venus Hinyard

Thomas-Venus Hinyard is a Black, queer, transfeminine, non-binary, sex-positive writer, artist, performer, feminist and activist. They are studying for a B.A. in Sociology at Southern New Hampshire University. A native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, their work is a confection of lived experiences and ever-evolving perspectives on the intersectionality of race, sexuality, gender and religion.

In 2014 they were a finalist at the Capturing Fire Queer Poetry Slam in Washington D.C. Thomas-Venus is also an upcoming contributor for the blogs This Bridge Called My Heath and The Griot's Pen.
