I’m that guy that needs to be outside everyday otherwise I look like a Golden Retriever with a ball with no one around to throw it to me. It’s a sad sight and nobody should ever see it.

My passion is the outdoors and especially fly fishing!! Every time I go to the river I can’t wait to put my hand in the water and feel the movement of the cold rushing water between my fingers. It excites me every time we pass a bridge with water underneath it. I usually slow down to the point of where the person behind me is honking at me. I feel bad afterwards but in the moment I don’t even notice the loud beeping noise behind me because I am in Matt’s wonder world of fishing land thinking of all the great possibilities that body of water has to offer.

I have been trying to convince my best friend and soul mate (Tracy) that fishing is the best thing since sliced bread for over 10 years! Guess what! I did! She is now an official fly fishing addict for over 2 years now and let me tell you it is AWESOME!!!! Every vacation, mini road trip, even work has some type of fly fishing adventure tied to it. The only bummer and also awesome part is Tracy has this mysterious power of luring big fish to her line. I think she puts girly pheromones or something on her flies because she always out fishes me with bigger fish. Except for big brown trout, I always find those before she does but that might also because I am an explorer and hike miles and miles to find those big hook jawed beauties.
