David Thomson

Through my university studies in Computer Engineering I’ve found that my passion definitely continues into a professional capacity. As an Australian growing up in Hong Kong I’ve been fortunate enough to have a rather diverse and multicultural background, experiencing Chinese culture as an expatriate. This, I believe, gives me a perspective that is rather unique and useful in understanding today’s interconnected world.

My primary interest is in working towards a more secure global computer infrastructure; in the age of information it is simply too easy to be taken advantage of. As such, my ultimate goal is to work in information security, developing methods that allow people to feel secure utilizing software and the Internet, preventing both companies and individuals from being exploited by nefarious means.
