North Carolina State Director in Raleigh, North Carolina
After a long career as a teacher and then working in Corporate America, I left to pursue a passion in serving as an advocate for dogs and other animals used as test subjects in federally funded research labs. I started in Washington, DC and am currently the North Carolina State Director for the Humane Society of the United States. I live in Raleigh, NC with my 3 dogs, Maude- the 3 legged, 14-year old girl from the island of Okinawa, Japan; Leo, the Lemon Beagle, and George Washington, a beagle who spent 4 years in a research lab before being rescued by Beagle Freedom Project. I am a fan of dogs, yoga, crossfit, swimming and biking . I love fashion and design, and can often be found thrifting at consignment shops.
